Clean Up Australia Day – 6th March 2022
What a great turn out for “Clean-up Catho” on “Clean-up Australia Day” we had 50 volunteers at our site at Pat Slaven Reserve, which is a great number after what the weather has thrown at us lately. The Lake Macquarie region had 92 sites registered for the day.
We had locals from all areas and even people from Newcastle, we had all ages from 2 - 72 participating. Thankyou to everyone involved and looking forward to the next event
While we were unable to access the beaches during this event due to the dangerous conditions we encourage all our community to do there part for the environment and “Take 3 for the Sea” each time they visit the beach. We hope to do another clean up event in October to target the areas before the Nippers Season commences and able to hold a fund raising BBQ.
